Our city needs leaders who are independent, committed to fighting corruption, and have a plan to protect long-time residents from displacement, safeguard retiree healthcare, respond to constituents, draft laws to ensure safer streets for bikes, scooters, and pedestrians, funding for schools, respect community board input, and prevent overdevelopment.
With years of experience building community-oriented solutions, I am ready to serve. That’s why I am running for City Council to represent District 7.
Priority Issues
Expansion of Affordable Housing
Protect Long-Term Residents from Displacement: Stand firm by refusing to accept money from developers and real estate PACs, putting the interests of residents above profit.
Strengthening Public Safety and Health Access
Protect Medicare and ensure retirees receive the healthcare they deserve.
Build transparent policing and support initiatives that address the root causes of crime.
Dignified Immigration system
Edafe Okporo brings extensive experience and a deep commitment to protecting our immigrant communities.
